Eurostat provide an overview over blogging in Europe


Most blogs and personal websites was, in 2012, in Holland, Iceland, Hungary, Denmark and Norway
Less appetence to open blogs was in Cyprus, Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania.




It was much more popular during the same time period to upload your own content to the text, photo or video content platform such as Youtube and many others. The share of those who upload content on such a platform was 25% (compared to 6% of those who develop their own blogs or personal websites).


Among EU members, the highest share of content generation for content platforms was in countries like Denmark, UK, Hungary, Sweden and Portugal (almost a third of population participate more or less). The lowest shares were in Czechia, Malta, Romania, Poland and Bulgaria.
